Secondments

We currently have two regular secondment opportunities open to trainees - a client secondment to Tate Britain and an overseas secondment to our Milan office.  Occasionally we also have the opportunity to second trainees to our office in Geneva.

Tate

We are delighted to be able to send a trainee on secondment to the Tate (sometimes for a three month seat, sometimes for the whole six) where they will experience the full range of advisory work facing in-house lawyers from Freedom of Information requests, through property and commercial transactions to employment issues.  Click here to read Chris Rowse’s profile.  Chris talks about his experiences on secondment at the Tate.

Milan

Our Milan office offers what is essentially a corporate seat, advising Italian companies on English law, whether that be international contracts governed by English law or expanding their services into the UK.

Geneva

While there is not always a seat available in Geneva, two of our 2007 qualifiers, spent part of their training contract in the Geneva office. Although essentially an International Wealth Planning seat (see below) the Geneva office also has a resident litigation Partner, Andrew Ford, who co-ordinates complex international litigation, often related to fraud.
