Community Interest Companies, or CICs, are limited companies with special features for people who want to carry out activities for community benefit and not solely for private benefit. The government has created them as a special vehicle to encourage social enterprise, such as environmental improvement, community transport and fair trade.

Sara Burgess, the CIC Regulator, will be speaking on the role of the CIC Regulator, the rules and format of the Community Interest Company, and conversions to charitable status.
