Overview

Alessia's work is mainly Real Estate, Commercial and Corporate in cross-border transactions with an Italian angle. She assists international clients who wish to invest in the real estate market or establish their business presence in Italy.

She advises clients on the use of International conventions and European laws when drafting international contracts, as well as on the choice of jurisdiction and the enforcement of foreign judgments. She has gained considerable knowledge of the implementation and application of the European directive on commercial agents in the various Member States.

Highlights

  • Creation of a new structured transaction for a client who, for the first time, wished to sell his Italian property through a London-based auction company
  • Assisting a long-standing client of the Firm with a debt recovery against an Irish company and on the enforcement of the Italian judgment in Ireland
  • Advising on the acquisition of an Italian real estate by a trust.

Alessia has spoken at AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers) and at a seminar on International Agency and Distribution Agreements (Florence, Italy - April 2007).

On a personal note

Alessia enjoys cooking for family and friends and attending courses on different cuisines from around the world.  She likes the idea of being a keen sportswoman but she struggles with the concept of going regularly to the gym!  She enjoys travelling very much and she is hoping to be able to visit all European capitals as soon as possible.
