Azlinda is a partner in the corporate team. She specialises in public and private mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and equity capital markets (ECM) transactions and has broad experience in complex, multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions throughout Asia. Azlinda has worked principally for Asian clients in relation to their investments in and out of UK and capital fundraise by Asian entities on the London Stock Exchange. Her current clients includes Asian sovereign funds and government linked entities, Asian HNWs and Family Offices. Azlinda is a barrister with Gray's Inn.

Chambers Global (2016) quoted Azlinda as highlighted by sources for her strength in handling multi-jurisdictional work. She maintains a particular focus on matters involving Malaysia. Clients enthuse that 'her in-depth understanding, diligence and dedication really impressed us.'

  • Acted for a South Korean technology company on its AIM Admission and Placing and restructuring of its global IP assets.
  • Acted for SP Angel Corporate Finance as nominated adviser to Green & Smart Plc, a Malaysian renewable company on its AIM Admission and Placing.
  • Acted for SP Angel Corporate finance as the nominated adviser on AIM Admission and placing of MySQUAR Plc, a Myanmar based social media and entertainment platform.
  • Acted for Aquatic Foods Group Plc, a Chinese frozen food supplier, on its AIM Admission and £9.3 million placing.
  • Acted for London Nusantara Plc, a Malaysian oil palm plantation investment company on its ISDX admission and subscription.
  • Acted for JQW Plc, a Chinese B2B e-platform business, on its AIM admission and £6.7 million placing.
  • Acted for Allenby Capital Ltd as the nominated adviser to RapidCloud International Plc, a Malaysian cloud computing business on its AIM Admission and Placing.
  • Acted for Camkids Group Plc, a Chinese designer, manufacturer and distributor of children’s outdoor clothing, footwear and equipment, on its AIM Admission and £6.4 million placing.
  • Acted for Advanced Oncotherapy Plc, an AIM listed company with a portfolio of innovative cancer services to capture opportunities in the cancer diagnosis and treatment market, on the sale of its subsidiary, The Healthcare Property Company Ltd, a developer and investor in primary healthcare real estate, to Mobi Capital Limited.
  • Acted for a Vietnam property investment fund in its private placing/fundraising raising USD130Million to invest in commercial and property projects throughout Vietnam.
  • Acted for Uranium One, a major TSX listed company with mining assets in Kazakhstan and Russia with market capitalisation of CND1 Billion on a proposed dual listing on LSE Main Market.
  • Acted on a reverse takeover of an AIM shell by China Food Plc (client), a PRC food company with holding company in Singapore raising GBP26 Million and its re-admission to AIM Market.

Selected Cross border acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures work

  • Acting for Felda Investment Corporation, in relation to restructuring and refinancing of their UK real estate investments valued at £350 Million.
  • Acting for MARA Incorporated Sdn. Bhd., a Malaysian government fund in relation to divestment of their UK real estate assets valued at £40 Million.
  • Acted for Toshiba Machine for restructuring of its European assets.
  • Acted for Eastern & Oriental Plc on its joint venture with Malaysian Tabung Haji fund for development of London mixed development project valued at £500 Million.
  • Acted for Eastern & Oriental Berhad, a Malaysian property conglomerate, on its acquisition of London commercial and residential assets for £57 million and development Financing of £120 million.
  • Acted for High Net Worth Asian individuals, on the acquisition of a majority interest in Linley, a bespoke luxury furniture designer which was started in the 1970s by Viscount David Linley, Princess Margaret’s son, who is still involved in the business. Linley have shops in Harrods, Belgravia and Burlington Arcade, London.
  • Acted on a joint venture for an offshore concession worth USD100 Million involving a Malaysian GLC and a Norwegian company.
  • Acted for Malaysia Airports Berhad on a joint venture with an Indian company for the privatisation of Maldives International Airport.
  • Acted for for Perbadanan Nasional Berhad, a Malaysian GLC for acquisition of F&B businesses in UK.
  • Acted for Perbadanan Nasional Berhad, a Malaysian government fund in disposal of its UK asset for undisclosed sum.
