Overview

Michael advises on tax, trusts and estate planning for high net worth individuals and their families (particularly UK resident non-domiciliaries) with a particular focus on conflict of laws and cross-border issues relating to succession and family law matters.  He also advises on trust drafting and trustees' and executors' powers and duties.

Michael has worked extensively with continental European and Middle Eastern clients and has particular experience in common law, civil law and Sharia law.

Highlights

Recent transactions include advising a major international entrepreneur on an appropriate holding structure for his investment and private assets, and planning and implementing an offshore trust and corporate structure to hold and operate a large international business.
