Overview
Peter advises clients in all aspects of family law including divorce, pre and post nuptial agreements, disputes relating to children, cohabitation and the financial consequences of relationship breakdown. He has particular experience in complex financial disputes involving trusts.
Peter is a qualified Solicitor Advocate with Higher Rights of Audience.
Highlights
Peter has been involved in a number of high profile reported Court of Appeal decisions including:
- Tchenguiz- Imerman v Imerman, which completely changed the law on disclosure between spouses in financial proceedings on divorce.
- Charman v Charman, the leading case on trusts in divorce and which case involved litigation in England and offshore.
- Moore v Moore, which involved a forum dispute between England and Spain.
Publications and speaking engagements
Peter is a co-author of 'International Trusts and Divorce Litigation' published by Jordans and has written articles for Family Law and spoken on the subject of trusts in divorce.
Peter has also written articles appearing in the national press, including an article in The Times on the impact of opening up the family courts to the press and public.
