Stephen has extensive experience of domestic and international tax and trust work. This ranges from UK entrepreneurs to families with landed estates to non-domiciliaries with complex private trust company structures. Stephen also advises on family disputes and succession law domestically and internationally.
In particular, Stephen has expertise in the structuring of ownership of collections of art and the UK tax aspects of heritage property generally.
Stephen was the co-author of ‘Inheritance Tax and Lifetime Gifts' and has contributed to McCutcheon and Withers on inheritance tax. Stephen has spoken on numerous occasions at conferences concerning tax, regulatory matters, heritage property and business planning for families.
