Overview

Stijn advises governments, multinationals, (private equity) investment funds and Sovereign Wealth Funds as well as ultra high-net-worth individuals, families, and family offices.

He advises on international tax issues including structuring global cross border investments, (pre-IPO) group restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and on family succession planning and wealth structuring. Stijn has advised GCC clients on some of the region’s most prominent real estate, hospitality and portfolio investments in Europe, US and Asia.   

Having spent more than 15 yrs with Loyens & Loeff (in Amsterdam, Tokyo and Dubai), Stijn set up their Dubai office in 2008 which he managed for 5 years. In 2013, he moved to EY (Dubai) where he led their International Tax practice in Dubai, and the Private Clients practice for the MENA region.

Publications and speaking engagements

Stijn has been a frequent speaker at conferences in Europe and the Middle East, including Academy & Finance, STEP and IFA.
