Overview
Tim advises high net worth individuals in relation to tax, trusts and estate planning, particularly non-UK domiciled individuals with complex international affairs. Tim focuses on establishing offshore holding structures for tax efficient inward investment into the UK for non-UK domiciled entrepreneurs and on executive remuneration for UK residents through strategies such as employee benefit trusts, share and option plans and split contracts. Tim also specialises in the establishment and operation of private trust company structures, works closely with a number of family offices and is increasingly involved with tax policy.
Highlights
Recent highlights include advising the States of Jersey in relation to the changes to Jersey's regime for attracting HNWIs, lobbying the Treasury and HMRC on behalf of several clients following the changes to the taxation of employee benefit trusts and advising non-UK domiciled entrepreneurs in relation to the restructuring of their UK business and executive remuneration strategy in light of these changes.
Tim was recently named in Private Client Practitioner's Top 35 Under 35, the definitive annual list of young private client practitioners.

Tim is a contributor to the Solicitors' Journal, the High Net Worth Journal, the European Tax Service, Wealth Briefing and Offshore Red.
Tim has spoken at Tolley conferences and Lexis Nexis events in relation to topics as diverse as remittance planning, tax efficient investment strategies, the acquisition of yachts and aircraft and Shari'a law.
