Our insolvency practice is well-placed to assist the various parties involved when companies hit periods of financial difficulty.

To that end, we work to protect the rights of secured creditors, line holders and unsecured creditors. We are involved in the sale and purchase of assets at bankruptcy sales, and advise on restructuring schemes and the treatment of unexpired leases and other contracts. We also defend or prosecute as required when a liquidator is seeking to obtain a company's assets.

Our clients are banks and lenders, companies and their directors and investors, while the company is trying to resolve its financial problems and once formal insolvency proceedings are under way. During insolvency proceedings we work with senior and junior lenders, distressed and secondary debt investors, insolvency practitioners, and directors and managers of the business in trouble, as well as with general creditors.
