We advise companies and individuals who provide information to the public sector on how they should protect the disclosure of confidential or commercially sensitive data.
We also advise clients on the most effective ways of making FOI requests for information about, for example, future government policy and in relation to their competitors. Additionally, we are involved in appeals to the Information Commissioner, the Information Tribunal and ultimately the High Court.
We act for UK, European and international (particularly US) companies, public sector bodies and voluntary sector organizations, as well as individuals. A particular area of experience is in assisting UK and EU-based clients with the transfer of personal data out of the EEA, and US-based clients with the UK and EU data protection regimes.
