Fraud
We advise people who have been victims of fraud or have themselves been accused of fraudulent behaviour.
Most of our clients fall into one of three categories. Many are individuals who entered in good faith into what turned out to be fraudulent business ventures, and have incurred substantial losses as a result. Others are professional trustees embroiled in allegations of fraud because of the assets they are holding as trustees, or the way those assets have been administered. Finally, we defend individuals who are regarded by others as mixed up in fraud, having been involved in fraudulent business ventures or scams.
The firm's acknowledged international strengths in wealth planning and trust disputes enable us to help clients who are caught up in a fraud involving corporate schemes or trust vehicles. Often we assist in recovering assets that have found their way to third parties.
We also understand the need for the sensitive handling of what can frequently be difficult issues, often involving claims against business partners or other connected parties.
