Our Italian team has been advising Italian individuals, families and family offices for over twenty five years. Offering English, Italian and US law advice through our bilingual lawyers, we deliver a comprehensive range of services wherever they are needed. In additional to assisting our clients in Italy, our Milan practice coordinates a network of Italian Desks set up in our offices in London, New York, Geneva, Zurich and Asia which serve as a point of reference to clients in those areas.
Over the course of the years, we have also forged close links with a wide variety of Italian avvocati, commercialisti and other professional advisers in Italy and work alongside them to provide the personal services our mutual clients require.
The history of our Milan office begins with its opening in 1995 to make access to English and US law advice more convenient for our Italian based clients.
In 2005 we created an Italian law desk in London to offer Italian advice to US and English clients. Avv. Roberta Crivellaro (a bilingual Avvocato/Solicitor) became the head of this first 'Italian Desk'. Georgia Catarame (also a bilingual Avvocato/Solicitor) is now in charge of this desk.
In 2009, the Milan office was expanded with the addition of new partners and their team of associates, under the leadership of practice General Manager, Roberta Crivellaro, who moved to Italy for this purpose, and Global Head of Corporate and Commercial, Anthony Indiamo.
Our Italian practice expanded further with the opening of an office in Padua to cover the north-east region of Italy. In 2009, we opened an Italian Desk in New York, our second desk worldwide, to assist our clients interested in investing in the US and vice versa. The Head of the US Italian Desk is Jim Carolan.
In July 2013, the Italian practice welcomed the arrival of Sergio Anania, a corporate and banking partner, who joined in Milan along with an associate. In 2014, Giulia Cipollini joined as Head of Tax, Luca Ferrari as a partner in our international corporate practice and as global head of sports and Ida Palombella as head of IP and IT.
To complete the scenario, Lindsay Brown is in charge of the Italian Desk in Switzerland, Fernando Gandioli, based in Singapore, is responsible for the Asia Desk covering both Hong Kong and Singapore, and most recently, Daniele Dal Corso, in our newly opened Dubai office, deals with the Middle East.
Lawyers in our Italian team are active members of various associations with Italian connections such as Business Club Italia, British Italian Law Association, Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK, British Chamber of Commerce for Italy, American Chamber of Commerce in Italy, GEI, Gruppo Esponenti Italiani, the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce in New York and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore to name a few.
