Negligent will drafting

We have extensive experience in the resolution of problems caused by negligent will-drafting.

Sometimes a draftsman misunderstands or misrecords the instructions of the person making the will, or fails to comply with the requisite formalities, or drafts a will when the will-maker lacks the necessary mental capacity to make his or her wishes clear. In such situations, interested parties to the estate may suffer significant losses, often including tax consequences.

We have both the legal knowledge and the experience to provide appropriate solutions to difficult situations, in many cases in an emotionally charged environment.

We act for major charities and for private individuals who wish to bring a charge of negligence against a will-drafter. We also defend will-drafters accused of such negligence.
