Ho Choon is a partner in the litigation and arbitration team.

Having more than three decades of experience in civil and commercial litigation, Ho Choon has acted for and advised developers, main contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, insurers, management corporations, subsidiary proprietors and suppliers in disputes involving construction contracts. His areas of practice include professional negligence, employment law, collective sales, landlord and tenant disputes, insolvency, contracts, torts and other areas of corporate and commercial law. He also heads KhattarWong’s construction and engineering team.

Ho Choon has been involved in trials in the High Court, appeals before the Court of Appeal, arbitrations, mediations and adjudications. Many of his cases have been reported in the Singapore Law Reports.

He has taught at international arbitration courses in Cambodia under a programme funded by the World Bank, at the Fellowship Assessment Courses conducted by the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and at the Singapore Institute of Legal Education.

Acted for a minority shareholder in an action for oppression of the minority involving a development company with net assets of approximately S$60m. After a week of trial in the High Court, the action was settled favorably to the minority, whose shares are valued at approximately S$6m.

Acting for a Korean company in a multi-million dollar ICC arbitration involving two Korean companies and a Chinese company.

Acting for project managers/engineers on instructions of their Insurers in a USD 12 million SIAC arbitration involving a development project in Vietnam.
