The first edition of Family Law News 2014 has now been published. As ever it contains articles on a wide range of topics.  I analyse Mittal v Mittal which was a cross-border dispute between England and India.  Amanda Bell reviews the case-management tool of striking out unmeritorious applications.  The topic of disclosure of trust documents has also been the subject of further judicial guidance and Michael Gouriet summarises the approach adopted in the case of Tchenguiz-Imerman v Imerman (2013) in which he and Diana Parker acted for the wife. On practice points Suzanne Kingston and Natalie O'Shea discuss the growth in the use of family arbitration and its endorsement by the Court in the case of S v S.  Natalie O'Shea also gives an overview of the changes in the family court system and court procedures that are to be introduced in the spring. Finally, there is mention of Suzanne Todd's feature in The Lawyer Hot 100 list. You can reach us on Twitter: @WithersFamLaw
