Charities Connect event: Data risks – legal and practical issues
Join us on Thursday 22 March 2018 for the latest event in our Charities Connect series – a seminar on the legal and practical issues of data security. Our panel of experts – Adam Breese, Information Security Officer at Cancer Research UK, Rupert Paines of 11 King's Bench Walk who acted for Morrisons in a recent seminal data privacy case (Various Claimants v WM Morrison Supermarkets plc), and Mark Burnett, Data Protection Officer and Head of Charity Partnerships at Clearcomm – will explore how charities can keep on top of data security challenges and run their data management against both internal and external risks.
As the sector comes together to work through the challenging times ahead, we hope Charities Connect will continue to provide a formal platform for the sharing of charity sector knowledge and ideas.
The Charities Connect series is designed to bring together senior representatives within the charity and not for profit sector. Following the talk and Q&A, there will be an opportunity for further discussion and networking over drinks.
