Pride 2019: Creating an inclusive business culture: Learning from the past and planning for our future


We’ll be celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride throughout June. Much has changed for the better and there is plenty to celebrate, but there is still a lot to be done across all areas of our society, particularly the workplace.

The way we communicate and engage with each other in the workplace is changing rapidly, but sadly, the eradication of discrimination is not progressing at the same pace. There are still far too many incidents involving discrimination, bullying and harassment, with 1 in 5 LGBT+ staff reported to have been the target of negative comments from work colleagues in the last year*.

It is vital that we all take a look at our businesses and the culture we all create, to ensure we are providing the right supportive environment in which we can all flourish.

We hope you can join us for an insightful debate, looking at what has changed, where we are today and what still needs to be addressed going forward. We will hear from a number of panellists from different backgrounds and areas of expertise, who will share their experiences and debate what is needed from our future workplaces.
