Robert Wessely Joins Withers Bergman
Expands Cross-border Expertise of Corporate Practice Group
May 12, 2010-Withers Bergman LLP announced today that Robert Wessely has joined the firm as a partner in its New York office. He was previously a partner at Arnold & Porter LLP. A specialist in cross-border transactions, Mr. Wessely has represented a diverse range of clients in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the U.S.
Mr. Wessely has extensive experience in providing strategic and structural advice on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, venture capital, joint ventures, financing, restructuring and licensing transactions. While his client base is worldwide, he has particular expertise in representing German and Middle Eastern companies involved in transactions in the U.S. He is fluent in German.

Integral to his corporate practice is Mr. Wessely’s experience in real estate law, media and entertainment and intellectual property matters. His cross-border practice extends to financial institutions, offshore funds, investment vehicles, air transport, specialized manufacturing, media, architecture and construction, and the oil and gas industries.
