Me in a minute

What I truly love is being able to add long-lasting value to a client

I grew up thinking that being a lawyer meant that you liked arguing and you had to like words and essays. While I do enjoy all things literary and also the cut and thrust of contractual negotiation does have its thrills, what I truly love is being able to add long-lasting value to a client, whether by providing advice or finding both legal and commercial solutions, and whether that client’s a family office, a young entrepreneur, an experienced investor or a listed multinational company.

I have particularly enjoyed working on transactions with cross-border and international aspects, as well as providing advice to companies in the sports and leisure sectors: I am particularly proud to have been involved in the acquisition by Renault Group of Lotus F1: the transaction enabled me to channel my keen interest in Formula 1 and sports law in general, while the pace and high-octane nature of the transaction was apt for the sport.

My love of all things literary extends to a broad taste in music and verse and I’ll happily enjoy anything from the likes of Homer to Run DMC. I’m also a keen foodie and I enjoy making and trying new and exotic dishes with my wife who trained as a chef.
