On September 19, 2008, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York decreed that the direct investors of Lehman Brothers Inc. qualify for recovery under the Securities Investor Protection Act of 1970. Direct investors of Lehman Brothers Inc. who wish to be eligible for the maximum protection that may be afforded to them under this federal law are required to file their claims by January 30, 2009.
