Me in a minute
I am passionate about law and doing the best for my clients
I like asking questions, I like writing and I like people. Career-wise, I am passionate about law and doing the best for my clients.
Becoming a lawyer was a well-trodden path in my extended family, and after reading classics at Oxford, I took up a place at law school, training at a firm in Lincoln’s Inn. I qualified into the family department there in October 2010, before moving with one of the partners to Withers in April 2011.
Earning clients’ trust and confidence is critical in family law. We make contact at what is almost always a very difficult juncture in their lives and they have numerous questions and concerns about what the future holds, short and long-term. A key part of our job is to listen to those concerns, understand their priorities, and advise them sensitively and clearly.
My aim is always be to achieve the best result for my client - that may mean litigating or it may mean negotiating an early settlement and avoiding the expense, stress and delay of court proceedings. We try not to be in people’s lives for too long.
