NFLPA announces continuing education requirements

As of this writing we've not seen the materials underlying the NFLPA's continuing education course, but the ongoing requirement reminds us of the continuing legal education requirements already applicable to many attorneys across the United States. Such continuing legal education requirements often include attorney ethics courses. It's unclear whether or not the NFLPA's program will include an ethics-based component. In light of recent controversies involving sports agents – most notably, the NCAA men's basketball fraud and corruption schemes that made news in September 2017 – it will be interesting to see which other players unions, if any, implement similar continuing education programs.
