Nisha is an associate in the corporate team.

She has over nine years of M&A, general corporate and capital markets experience in South Asia, including India, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia. Her specific areas of industry experience are information technology, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, media and entertainment, manufacturing and services, payment processing and hospitality. Prior to joining Withersworldwide, she worked for over four years with AZB & Partners in India and five years thereafter with DLA Piper in Singapore contributing to each of their corporate M&A and capital markets practice groups.

Nisha has advised numerous clients on M&A transactional matters including Manipal Healthcare’s strategic expansion in Malaysia, Indorama Healthcare’s first foray into the Indian market and Jindal Polyfilms on its US$230 million acquisition of the films division of Exxon Mobil with global operations. She has also advised on several sizeable corporate restructuring exercises.

Nisha has considerable experience in the hospitality sector. She has assisted global hospitality operators like Starwood, Hilton, IHG and Dusit International on numerous corporate and transactional matters. She has also been on a medium term secondment with Starwood in Singapore.

Nisha has represented issuers and underwriters in relation to initial public offerings and follow-on public offerings by Indian companies, including leading real estate developers like Brigade Enterprises and Prestige Estates, construction and infrastructure companies like Nagarjuna Construction and of Ind-Barath Power Infra and a variety of underwriters such as ICICI Securities, Morgan Stanley, IDFC SSKI, Motilal Oswal, Merril Lynch and JM Financial.

Acted for Manipal Health Enterprises, the healthcare arm of the Manipal Group, on the acquisition of a large hospital in the Selangor District in Malaysia representing its first greenfield acquisition in the region.

Advised Blackmores International on the establishment of a joint venture to import, supply and distribute Blackmores’ market leading range of vitamins and dietary supplements in the Indonesian market.

Advised Jindal Polyfilms on its US$230 million acquisition of the films division of Exxon Mobil with operations in the United States, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, Singapore and Hong Kong.
