Jason is special counsel in the private client and tax team.
Jason advises high-net worth individuals and families on wealth succession and related state and federal income, estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer tax and property tax issues. He also often represents clients in IRS proceedings.
Jason has extensive experience in implementing estate planning and sophisticated wealth transfer strategies, including grantor retained annuity trusts, charitable lead and remainder trusts, life insurance trusts, residence trusts, buy/sell agreements, family entities such as LLCs and partnerships, sales to intentionally defective grantor trusts, and transfers to incomplete gift non-grantor trusts (DINGs, NINGs).
He also advises trustees in connection with their duties in administering trusts and individuals and organizations regarding the formation and operation of section 501(c)(3) public charities and private foundations.
