Based in the firm’s Boston office, Jennifer focuses her practice on intellectual property related to biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, chemistry, health care and analytic scientific equipment. Her practice involves drafting patent and trademark applications, responding to USPTO actions and researching issues related to Food and Drug Law. Prior to law school, Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in biology. Her interest in the path from laboratory to commercial product stems from her 15 year career as a bench scientist in the biotech industry where she helped evaluate technologies for their potential commercial value. Her prior work as a scientist involved researching prior art to determine the feasibility of patenting technologies. Jennifer is knowledgeable about organic chemistry, drug development, computational chemistry, crystallography, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.
