*Withers Bengoshi Houjin is organised as a local partnership, under the Japanese Civil Code, whose partners are only Japanese qualified lawyers (bengoshi) and non-Japanese lawyers (attorneys-at-law admitted in California, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii and New York) who are registered foreign lawyers in Japan (gaikokuho jimu bengoshi). Rie Nitta is from Withers Bengoshi Houjin.

Rie is a counsel in the investment management team of the Tokyo office.

She has advised both domestic and foreign financial institutions, including securities companies, investment managers and investment advisors on Japanese financial regulations for over 10 years at international law firms in Tokyo.

Prior to joining Withers, she has been a part of an investment management practice that has historically been recognized by the AsianInvestors and Chambers Asia Pacific.
