Me in a minute

I'm a singer and songwriter as well as a lawyer!

I always wanted to be a singer and songwriter, but my ex-husband thought I’d make a good politician and told me that just in case singing didn’t work out, I should get a law degree. But, as it worked out, I have had the chance to do two things that I love - as both a singer/songwriter and lawyer and mentor to entrepreneurs. Those two worlds come together in my band 10xx, which performs at tech startup events in London. I have been a recording artist back in the day when big hair and high-waisted jeans were all the rage singing backup for major artists such as Madonna and Bruce Springsteen. I have co-written and sung on the soundtracks of the edgy rap film ‘Beat Street’ (in which I’m featured) and for Jonathan Demme’s breakthrough film ‘Something Wild’. I have also studied opera at the Juilliard School in New York with Maestro Vincent La Selva at the New York Grand Opera Company. I also currently study Opera in London with the acclaimed Welsh Tenor, Jeffrey Talbot. If you hear me singing in the office, now you know why.
