Zoe Jacob

Zoe is an associate in the private client and tax team.

She specialises in complex immigration work, advising both individuals and businesses in relation to applications under the Immigration Rules and EEA Regulations, as well as on related aspects of the European Convention on Human Rights. She has a particular interest in personal immigration matters affecting high net worth individuals, and has significant experience advising in relation to Tier 1 of the Points Based System and the ‘family life’ provisions of the Immigration Rules.

Zoe also has extensive experience of the immigration appeals process, having spent 18 months acting on behalf of the Home Office in the First Tier Tribunal. Since then, she has successfully represented numerous individuals in the First and Upper Tier Tribunal, overturning decisions of the Home Office to refuse leave to enter or remain in the UK.

Assisted a Tier 1 (Investor) to successfully renew his visa despite complications regarding loans taken against the portfolio on which he was relying.

Successfully overturned the refusal of a tier 1 (entrepreneur’s) application for indefinite leave to remain at administrative review leading to a grant of indefinite leave to remain for the individual and his family.

Assisted a leading American university renew its sponsor licence in order to enable the continued sponsorship of study abroad programmes in the UK.
