Advised NHS Charities Together for the past seven years on a range of legal matters relating to NHS Charities and their support for the NHS.
Supported 10 NHS Charities through the process of restructuring to obtain independence from the Department of Health and setting up as new independent charities and provision of a wider range of governance, fundraising and technical advice to a number of NHS charities.
Provided extensive advice on governance, regulation and related matters to the RSPCA.
Advised a number of clients who were the subject of Charity Commission Statutory Inquiries, including an Interim Manager appointment, on their approach to the inquiries and related issues.
Helped lead the firm’s work advising The Royal British Legion on its Branch Property Trust work.
Worked on a range of charity and fundraising matters for the British Red Cross Society.
Provided strategic international advice to a number of multi-jurisdictional organisations including charities, private trusts, corporate trustees and non-profit organisations regarding their international operations and establishments.
Advised The Thalidomide Trust on charity law issues relating to its structure, governance and beneficiaries.
Advised on the formation and structuring of a number of ‘dual-qualified’ US-UK charities both for public fundraising and private philanthropy.
Established a range of philanthropic charities for various operational and grant-making purposes.
