Sarah Verano
Associate
Sarah is an associate in the private client and tax team.
Sarah focuses on a variety of legal matters with art at their core. Her work ranges from advising on discrete transactions, including art purchases, sales, loans, consignments, and charitable gifts, to engaging in more comprehensive tax and estate planning for art collectors and their families. She regularly addresses federal, state, and local tax issues, as well as considerations for artworks that involve restricted animal and plant materials or that may constitute cultural property.
Sarah has been active as both an author and commentator, published or quoted in publications such as Trusts & Estates; Artsy; Arts & Collections; Tax Notes; Flash Art; Antiquities Trade Gazette; and WealthManagement.com. Sarah is also an active member of the New York City Bar Association’s State and Local Tax Committee.
