Businesses are now facing increased regulatory investigations and proceedings due to enhanced scrutiny by the authorities. This has been catalysed by our interconnected and complex global business environment and made more challenging in a pandemic.
Several businesses in the region from financial institutions, MNCs, trust companies and investment funds have been severely impacted by poor handling of internal investigations, from the suspension of their operations, fines to more severe criminal charges.
The goal of any internal investigation is to obtain a straightforward view of the facts; that is, what happened, when it happened, who was responsible, who may have been harmed, and what further actions may be necessary to prevent the alleged wrongdoing from recurring.
The range of possible wrongdoing is wide, from sexual harassment, corruption, insider trading, employee theft, and misappropriation of company funds, amongst others.
In this webinar, Rayson Tan (Chief Compliance Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Head of Legal at Revolut), our white-collar defence and investigations specialists, Tania Chin and Amarjit Kaur, and Helen Ng, recruitment specialist in the fields of legal, risk and compliance, will share what companies need to do to have a robust, well-documented and clear internal investigations process. We will also provide practical tips in managing investigations, including how they could be effectively conducted in our remote working environment.
The webinar will be 45 minutes long, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A. Please register at least two hours before the webinar in order to receive a confirmation email for the login details.
