Senior Associate

Winnie is a senior associate in our corporate team.

She is experienced in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, employee share incentive schemes, franchising, licensing, intellectual property and data privacy matters. She aims to provide all-rounded legal services to clients to enhance and safeguard their interests against possible business and structural risks, and to advise on regulatory compliance, corporate governance and exit mechanisms.

Winnie has advised clients and negotiated with counterparties coming from a broad spectrum of background ranging from start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises to listed companies and Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to joining Withers, she was the head of the corporate and commercial department of a long-standing local law firm in Hong Kong.

Advised a global media company based in the US in forming a joint venture with a listed company in Hong Kong in respect of its media and networking business in the PRC and Taiwan, and to advise on relevant licensing arrangement.

Advised a British multinational company in the business of marketing and trading of car accessories in several rounds of reorganisation (including share swap and share buy-back) and its subsequent merger into one of the world’s largest manufacturers of batteries on acquihire basis.

Advised a listed company in acquiring PRC manufacturing facilities and business from a renowned Switzerland manufacturer and designer of surveying products and systems.
