Andrew is a partner in the real estate disputes team.
He specialises in advising on and handling property related disputes. He has wide experience in landlord and tenant and property disputes acting for landowners, occupiers, developers and interested parties.
Andrew has handled many cases which have gone to trial before Courts, Arbitrators and Tribunals covering many areas including forfeiture and possession of commercial, rural and residential property, contested business lease renewals, rent review, dilapidations, residential management disputes, rights of first refusal and statutory compensation. He has also covered other areas which consist of interpretation of easements and covenants, planning enquiries, arbitration appeals, interpretation of easements and covenants, residential management disputes, rights of first refusal, statutory compensation, planning enquiries and arbitration appeals. In addition, Andrew has represented clients in several mediations and negotiated settlements in a substantial number of cases.
Andrew joined Withers in early 2016 after spending over 25 years at his previous firm.

Acting for the successful purchaser in the case of Schmid v Fellner and another relating to the validity of the rescission of a contract.
Advising the landlord in the case of Sargeant v Macepark in a dispute about consent to alterations when it was established that a landlord’s business interests were a relevant factor.
Acting for the tenant on the interpretation of a rent review clause (Cadogan v Escada).
