He acts for employees and employers in all aspects of employment disputes. These include disputes over the employment contract, unfair and wrongful dismissal, whistleblowing, harassment and discrimination, covenants and confidentiality. He negotiates the settlement of contentious matters, and advises on and pursues the litigation of employment claims and their defence. Phil also advises on the formation of the employment relationship, its maintenance and smooth running, and on restrictive covenants and confidentiality during and after employment. Cases involving regulated and complex workplaces are a notable strength (finance, education, NHS, legal sector).
