Chloe is an associate in the litigation and arbitration team, specialising in media law and reputation management. Prior to joining Withers, Chloe trained at a highly-regarded media litigation firm in London. Chloe holds Higher Rights of Audience – she is thus able to represent clients in the civil Senior Courts of England and Wales. She has a pragmatic style, and particular experience advising on and litigating in the fields of defamation, privacy harassment and data protection, regularly assisting individuals and businesses who face reputational risk from intrusive reporting, competitor action and disinformation.
Chloe is experienced in pre and post-publication matters, having worked on a breadth of media and crisis management cases involving celebrities, politicians, high profile businessmen and women, charities, corporates and chief executives. Over the past year she has engaged in pre-publication work for corporate and individual clients, against a number of publishers including The Daily Mail and Mail Online, The Sun, and The Financial Times which has resulted in mitigating significant potential harm to clients, often working alongside PR advisors.
Chloe has excellent expertise in handling online reputation matters, including ‘Right to Be Forgotten’ requests against online intermediaries and securing the removal of offending material online.
