Laura advises clients on all family law issues that flow from separation, divorce or dissolution with a view to achieving a resolution. She offers pragmatic and sensitive advice and helps her clients to reach commercial solutions.
Her practice includes advising and guiding clients through the divorce process, the division of family finances, drafting pre/postnuptial agreements and pre/post civil partnership agreements. In addition, it is seen to advise on issues between unmarried, cohabiting couples to include drafting cohabitation agreements. Laura also advises clients in relation to matters regarding their children to include contract disputes, international relocation and financial support.
Laura commonly advises individuals with complex financial affairs, often including trusts, company structures and inherited assets. A large proportion of her cases have an international element.
Laura joined the family team in 2007 having trained with the firm. She is a member of the London Resolution Committee and has been a committed member of Resolution – which promotes a conciliatory and constructive approach to family disputes - since qualification. She also regularly volunteers at the Citizens Advice Bureau.
