Amy is a knowledge lawyer in the private client and tax division supporting the UK immigration team. 

Amy is responsible for keeping the UK immigration team up to date, coordinating training, ensuring know-how is shared and promoting the practise. 

Prior to joining Withers, Amy spent over 12 years' in advising businesses and individuals across the full range of UK immigration matters and nationality law. Amy has acted for corporate businesses with a focus on finance and professional services sectors. She has also acted for families and high net worth individuals with a large portfolio of clients from the North African and Middle Eastern regions.  

Her areas of expertise include UK immigration law, EU settlement scheme, settlement applications, British Citizenship and complex passport applications. She also has a wide range of experience in sponsorship, compliance duties and advising on illegal working.

I specialise in UK Immigration and Nationality Law and am a Knowledge Lawyer in the Immigration Team at Withers.

I initially qualified as a Barrister in 2010 and completed the equivalent of the UK pupillage at the Attorney General's Chambers in Trinidad and Tobago, in the West Indies. I worked in various areas of law such a Civil Litigation (Clinical Negligence, Contract Law, Personal Injury Law and RTA) and Constitutional matters (False Imprisonment, Malicious Prosecution, Detinue and Conversion and Assault and Battery claims).
