Colin advises corporate and private clients on a wide variety of financial services regulatory issues, including FCA authorisations and approved person applications, regulated activities and financial promotions.

Colin also advises clients on compliance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules for interests in listed companies and regulatory reporting obligations.

Colin has a particular interest in the Remuneration Code, which sets out the principles governing pay and bonuses for those working in financial services. Colin was a member of the AIMA working group on the implementation of the Remuneration Code.

Publications and speaking engagements

Colin has written articles on the UK Bribery Act, the Disclosure and Transparency Rules and the Remuneration Code.

Colin has also given talks and in-house training to clients on the Bribery Act.

Colin has in the past co-authored the chapter on Market Abuse and Insider Dealing in Butterworths Corporate Law Service.

On a personal note

Colin captains the Withers hockey team and enjoys participating in a range of other sports for the firm. Colin volunteers at a primary school in Tower Hamlets as a “reading partner”, helping children with their reading.
