Overview
Described as a 'standout member of the team' by Chambers & Partners Guide 2010, Daniel acts for a wide range of employers and senior executives. He also advises in relation to partnership disputes.
Daniel acted for the claimant in what is widely thought to be the highest value and most complex whistleblowing claim brought before an employment tribunal (Hannoun v GLG).
Over the years, Chambers & Partners Guide has described him as ‘cool and calm' with the ability to ‘go straight to the nub of an issue' (2008); able to give 'immediate advice which is consistently sound and accurate' (2009); as 'extremely pleasant and sensible' (2010); and an 'articulate and thoughtful speaker' (2011). The 2012 edition refers to his 'intellectual rigour and good sense of humour'.
Daniel's experience ranges from advising charities to running multi-million pound claims in the financial services sector.
Publications and speaking engagements
Daniel has been interviewed by BBC News and Sky News on a range of topics as diverse as sex discrimination claims in the City, dress codes and discrimination against overweight people.
He has been frequently quoted in the national and specialist press including the Financial times, the Sunday Times, the Times, Personnel Today and Solicitors Journal.
In 2011, Daniel gave a well-received seminar to the Employment Lawyers' Association in London on social media and employment law and has been asked to repeat this nationally.
