Overview

David is a Senior Partner and outgoing ‎Head of the US Private Client Division of Wealth Planning and Tax Group. His practice focuses on domestic and cross-border estate planning and income tax advice.

David's core clientele are single-family offices, fund managers and young entrepreneurs—with particular emphasis on planning for closely held businesses and investment vehicles. He provides a range of complex legal advice, from the creation of tax-efficient wealth transfer structures to addressing income tax issues arising from investments and operating businesses.

In addition to assisting wealthy individuals and families in their philanthropic endeavors, David advises both public charities and private foundations on a variety of matters, including tax exemption, tax aspects of operation and investments, and structuring of charitable gifts.

David is a frequent speaker at professional and private family organization events on income tax issues, estate planning and charitable giving. His writing has appeared in numerous publications, including Bloomberg BNA, STEP Journal and Private Asset Management Magazine.
