David is a partner in the private client and tax team.
His practice is built around a core of tax, trust, estate and charitable planning for wealthy US and international families, with particular emphasis on multi-generational wealth transfer, family governance and family offices. David regularly advises clients on a wide range of legal issues and strategic matters, effectively acting as outside general counsel to families and family offices. He has also served families in a fiduciary roles, frequently participating in challenging judgment calls relating to investments and trust distributions.
In addition to helping families with their philanthropic endeavors, he also advises both public charities and private foundations on various matters, including tax exemption, tax aspects of operation and investments, and structuring of charitable gifts.
