David focuses on banking for both international and domestic banks and borrowers. His practice includes acquisition, aircraft, art, derivatives, project and shipping finance. He advises on a wide range of transactional (including advising on default and restructuring) as well as regulatory work.


David advises many international banks such as State Bank of India on their international and domestic transactions.

Publications and speaking engagements

David co-edited 'Repossession of Aircraft and Insolvency in EC' and has lectured externally and internally on banking.

He was quoted in an article by Reuters on the luxury goods market, titled, 'Is tide turning for London's prodigal plutocrats?'.

More recently, David writes in CityWealth on luxury aircraft, titled, 'Withers clients spend between £3m to £43m on jets'.   

On a personal note

David is chairman of PLUS, a charity specialising in providing residential and other services for people with severe learning difficulties.
