Overview

With over 25 years experience in employment law, Elaine focuses on acting for senior executives, in particular advising on directors service agreements, senior executive severances, bonus claims, discrimination, whistleblowing, restrictive covenants (drafting and enforcement), business reorganisations and changing terms and conditions of employment.

Regarded as being 'amongst the best individual employment lawyers in the London market' (Insider's Guides to Legal Services).  Previously described as a 'keen strategist and tactician', a 'formidable opponent' and as a 'first-class operator' who brings 'a wealth of experience'  (Chambers 2003-2006) this year they described her as 'supremely clever' and commented that 'clients are so impressed by her skills ... they say it is a privilege to work with her' (Chambers 2008).

Highlights

Elaine has acted for a number of FTSE 100 directors in the last 12 months. She is also currently conducting a number of seven figure discrimination and bonus claims.

Publications and speaking engagements

Elaine lectures and writes regularly and is General Editor of Tottel's 'Termination of Employment'.  She also appears regularly on radio and television.
