Overview

Eleanor is in the second year of her training contract at Withers; she is now sitting in the property department following six months in the corporate department where she assisted on both matters relating to corporate governance and the drafting of commercial contracts and on transactional work including acquisitions and project finance deals in emerging markets.

In her first year, Eleanor worked firstly in the international wealth planning team where she was involved in a wide variety of work including the drafting of wills and trusts, assisting in tax and succession planning for both UK and International clients and working on conflicts of law issues.

Eleanor's second seat was in the property litigation department where she attended court on several occasions on matters relating to conveyancing disputes and mortgage possession proceedings. She has also assisted on lease renewals, Landlord-Tenant disputes, forfeiture proceedings and a renewable energy project.
 

Publications and speaking engagements

Eleanor recently assisted in drafting the chapter on Takeovers for Butterworth's Corporate Law Service.

On a personal note

Eleanor's interests include big band singing, visiting art galleries, going to the ballet and to see contemporary dance (big Matthew Bourne fan). She has recently started to sing with Cantate Alumni.
