Overview

Henrietta acts for individuals and charities in relation to all aspects of contentious trust and probate. In particular she frequently advises in relation to will validity challenges, including issues of construction and rectification; constructive trust and proprietary estoppel claims; claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975; and professional negligence claims in relation to estate planning, trust and succession issues. Henrietta is currently studying to be a Notary Public.

Highlights

July 2008 - assisting Paul Hewitt, Henrietta Mason secured, in a private hearing, the accelerated distribution of a multi-million pound estate where executors were concerned about potential liability to overseas tax.

Publications and speaking engagements

Henrietta is co-author of 'Probate Disputes and Remedies', published in 2008. She has contributed to the Solicitors Journal and Private Client Business on Trustee Disclosure Issues, reviewed the impact of the Civil Partnerships Bill on Inheritance Act Claims, and written and lectured about the potential impact of the European Green Paper on Wills and Succession for the New Law Journal.
