Partner
John focuses on advising on UK and offshore investment management arrangements and investment funds, including the establishment and activities of hedge funds, private equity funds, property funds and other collective investment vehicles.
John is also an experienced corporate generalist and has, in particular, advised on acquisitions and disposals of investments by both private equity funds and hedge funds.
John's recent work includes a range of projects in the alternative investment fund sector, including advising both hedge fund and private equity fund start-ups and advising a major family office on a restructuring of its investments into a series of offshore funds with various different strategies.
John has contributed articles to Hedge Funds Review and has presented at the GAIM, Funds Forum and Euromoney Hedge Fund Start-up conferences.
John enjoys reading, writing, running, dabbling in foreign languages and messing around in the kitchen, and is a keen armchair participant in football and rugby union.
