Meriel is head of the employment team and advises employers and employees, particularly in the financial services sector. She also advises charities.
Meriel is a trained mediator and was described in the 2006 Chambers directory as having ‘considerable expertise, sensitivity and responsiveness’.
Recent cases of note include defending and obtaining injunctions to enforce garden leave and protect confidential information, discrimination and whistleblowing cases and an important case on the employment status of a charity’s treasurer.
Meriel lectures on all areas of employment law, including recently age discrimination, diversity and stress at work.
Meriel is a keen skier and mosaicist, although generally not at the same time.
