Overview

Paul's focus is on commercial real estate with a particular emphasis on property investment, acting for major private and institutional investors. He has particular experience in charity property (whether functional, trading or investment) and leasehold reform work.

He also acts for numerous ‘household name' retailers in relation to their premises.

Highlights

Paul has advised on the investment property portfolio acquisitions for The Paul Hamlyn Foundation and an ultra high net worth investor.

Paul has also been involved in the acquisition of the highest value freehold to date on Wellcome Estate for group of lessees.

Publications and speaking engagements

Paul regularly lectures for CLT on aspects of landlord and tenant law most recently in November 2006 and again on the subject of leasehold reform in April 2007.

In April 2007 Paul also gave presentations in New York and Greenwich, Connecticut to US fund managers on UK commercial real estate.

Paul has written the real estate chapter in Tolley's Charities Manual,  Real estate news briefings on property investment, REITs, retail property and leasehold reform. Along with a series of briefing notes for various aspects of leasehold reform.
