Overview

Peter has experience in dealing with fraud and tracing, general commercial litigation, insolvency and judicial review. His clients range from private individuals, judicial officers and insolvency practitioners to corporate entities.

Peter is currently on secondment to our firm's office in the British Virgin Islands (BVI) causing much of his recent work to relate to corporate insolvencies and commercial disputes that often have cross-border considerations.

Highlights

  • Acting in the BVI for the Liquidators of ‘feeder funds' into Bernard L Madoff Investment Securities LLC.
  • Advising the Joint Liquidators of a large steel mill on complex legal and commercial issues arising out of the liquidation.
  • Involvement in a multi-million dollar dispute concerning remuneration fees.
  • Acting in a claim against an investment bank in which a consultant sought to recover fees that the bank argued were of a discretionary nature only.
